“Error occurred during email publish in distribution instruction[file name]: Object reference not set to an instance of an object” when trying to distribute reports in Intelligence

Cause

Distribution settings may have been corrupted

Resolutions

• Resolution 1:

  1. In the Intelligence Report go to BITools, Distribution Settings
  2.  Under the SMTP settings reenter the smtp location and the e-mail password
  3. Send the reports again

• Resolution 2:

  1. Download and replace the BICORE.EXE file found on the below link.
  2. Download File
  3. Once Downloaded, navigate to the existing BICORE.EXE (see below) file and then replace with the new downloaded one.

• Sage 100 Standard:
  • Download BIcore75.exe and unzip
  • Go to C:\Program FIles(x86)\Sage\Intelligence
  • Rename BICore.exe
  • Paste in BICore75.exe
  • Rename file to BIcore.exe

• Sage 100 Advanced and Premium:
  • Download BIcore75.exe and unzip
  • Go to C:\Sage\Sage 100 Workstation\MAS90\HomeIntelligence
  • Rename BICore.exe
  • Paste in BICore75.exe
  • Rename file to BIcore.exe
