Sage 100 Inventory Requirements Planning Error when Quantity Required does not match Item Inquiry Quantity Required

Summary

Sage 100 Inventory Requirements Planning (IRP) Quantity Required does not match Item Inquiry Quantity Required

Resolution

  1. Check the selected value in Inventory Options, Main tab, “Include in Quantity Available”. Selections are Purchase Orders, Work Ticket, PO’s and WT, and No POs and W/T. If No POs and W/T is selected, then Work Ticket and Purchase Order quantities won’t be included in Quantity on Hand in Item Inquiry.
  2. In IRP Generation, there is a checkbox for “Include Open Work Tickets for Parent Items”. If that box is selected, any Open Work Ticket will be used as a supply source, even if Inventory Options sasy “No POs and W/T”.
    • Note: This is likely the cause for any discrepancy with Quantity on Hand in Inventory.
