Sage 100 Error: “Fields cannot be added to this grid”

Error: “Fields cannot be added to this grid” when customizing a grid for a Customization Group “No columns in the GD_LINES grid can be hidden” when modifying Primary Grid on Lines panel for Customization Group and selecting Hide Columns “No columns in the GD_ADDL grid can be hidden” when modifying Secondary Grid on Lines panel for Customization Group and selecting Hide Columns.

Cause

• Group grid customizations are not allowed in Customizer because the grid definition file has no concept of customizer groups
• This works as designed and cannot be enhanced

Resolution

• Modify Grid for Specific User
• Customizations may be copied to other users by clicking Copy Task button in Customizer Selection
