How to Delete Sage 100 General Ledger Accounts
Resolution
Use the Delete Account utility in order to delete G/L accounts.
Note: Use caution when working with this task. Always make a backup first. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage Software Customer Support analyst.
- Open General Ledger, Utilities, Delete Accounts.
- Select the appropriate operand for accounts to be deleted.
- In the Value field, select the accounts to be deleted.
- Enter account segment information as needed.
- Click the Print button to print a list of accounts flagged for deletion.
- Click Yes at the prompt, “Proceed deleting selected accounts?”
- If the listing is not printed, click ‘Proceed’.
- Click ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ at the prompt, “Do you want to print a deletion log?”
