You cannot delete an active warehouse in Sage 100

Description

“You cannot delete an active warehouse” message in Warehouse Maintenance after selecting the delete button

Resolution

As of Sage 100 ERP version 4.40, to maintain data integrity you can no longer delete warehouses unless certain criteria are met:

1. Quantity on hand must be zero for any item in the warehouse to be deleted.
2. There can be NO transaction history for any item that has that warehouse. (Purging transaction history can only be done as of a date, not specific items.)
3. There can be no unposted activity against the warehouse, i.e. a sales order.
