Sage 100  Error: “Windows Cannot Find ‘CmdAsUser.exe.’ Make sure you typed the name correctly and then Try Again.”

Description

The error message, “Error: “Windows cannot find ‘CmdAsUser.exe.’ Make sure you typed the name correctly and then Try Again.” appears when launching a Sage 100 ERP Advanced or Premium client.

Caus:

A non-default option is checked on the Application Server configuration.

Resolution:

  1. Log on to the Sage 100 Advanced or Premium server.
  2. On the Windows Start menu, select All Programs, Sage, Sage 100 ERP xxxx (xxxx = product version), Application Server Configuration.
  3. Note: The menu path may vary depending on the version and installation options chosen.
  4. The Application Server Configuration will appear.
  5. Select the Servers tab.
  6. Note the status of the application in the top right corner of the window (Running or Stopped).
  7. Uncheck the CmdAsUser check box.
  8. Click Apply to save settings.
  9. Click Exit.

Warning: Changing settings may require stopping and starting the Application Server service which would disconnect users.
