How to setup Gmail for Sage Intelligence Email Distribution for Sage 300
Resolution
Gmail requires legacy program permissions to be enabled so that 2-Step Verification would not be used by the legacy program.
To enable legacy program, login to Gmail, open Manage your Google Account.
Select Security, in Signing in to Google section, 2-Step Verification must be enabled to have App Passwords available.
After opening App passwords Enter in Excel for the Custom Name, Select Generate.
Record the password for entry in Distribution settings. Open Sage 300, Intelligence Reporting, Report Manager, run the report to be distributed. Select Distribution Settings, enter in gmail account, Use SSL, Port 587. In Logon Information use the password generated for the app password from google.
Reports can now be sent using Sage Intelligence.
