How to Reset the User Password in Sage 100

Password reset procedures in Sage 100 vary depending on your situation and access level. Here are the main scenarios:
**Reset Your Own Password:
- From the Sage 100 Desktop, open File and select Change User Password.
- Enter your Old Password.
- In the New Password field, enter your new password.
- In the Confirm Password field, re-enter the same new password.
- Click OK.
**Reset Another User’s Password (if you have rights):
- From the Sage 100 Desktop, open Library Master, Main menu, and select User Maintenance.
- To use Administrator credentials, sign in as Administrator and open Administrative Tools, then User Maintenance.
- Select the user logon you want to reset.
- Enter the new password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.
- Click Accept to save changes.
**Reset the Administrator Password (if you know the current password):
- Launch Sage 100.
- Note: Make sure Unified Logon is off.
- For User Logon, enter Administrator.
- For Password, enter the current Administrator password to access the Administrative Tools window.
- Click Administrator Password to access the Administrator Security Password window.
- Enter the new password in the Password field.
- In the Confirm Password field, re-enter the same new password.
- Click OK, then Close.
**If You Don’t Know the Administrator Password:
Contact Sage support for assistance. You must have a valid support agreement or be working with a Sage Business Partner, and you must be listed as an authorised contact on your customer account. Support is available through the Sage Customer Portal, chat support, or phone.
**Setting Password Requirements for All Users:
- Open System Configuration from the Sage 100 Desktop (File > Register, or Library Master > Setup > System Configuration).
- Click the Security tab to view and configure password settings.
- Note: If you want to use Unified Logon (Windows Authentication), do not select any password options.
