Summary

Error: “Module J/C is not on file” when accessing a data entry task, but J/C is not installed in Sage 100

Cause

  • Customizer VB script or third-party modification
  • Corrupted program file(s)
  • Improperly installed (or corrupted) Workstation Setup client install for Sage 100, where some prerequisites or DLLs were not properly installed or registered (or have become corrupted)

Resolution

  1. Disable script or modification
    • To disable customizer script for troubleshooting, deselect Allow External Access in Company Maintenance
  2. A program file may be corrupted and needs to be replaced with a recent copy from backup.
    • Find out where exactly the error occurs, as it may help determine the specific program.
    • Example: Error occurs only in I/M Transaction Entry. Replace IM_Transaction_Bus.pvc
  3. Reinstall Sage 100, Product Update and 3rd Party Enhancements (if applicable)
    • Get everyone out of Sage 100
    • Make a backup of ‘MAS90‘ folder
    • Reinstall Sage 100
    • Reinstall Product Update
    • Log into Sage 100 and verify issue no longer occurs
    • (if applicable) Reinstall 3rd Party Enhancement(s) one-by-one, while making sure error does not return after each installation
    • NOTE: If error returns after installing 3rd Party Enhancement, contact 3rd Party vendor for assistance
  4. Uninstall, then reinstall Workstation Setup correctly

  5. Contact 3rd Party vendor for update
