Cannot Enter Sage 300 Deposits in Bank Entry

Description

In Bank Services, Bank Entry, there is no option to select Deposits in the Bank Entry Type field. This field is greyed out and defaults to Withdrawals.

Cause

A withdrawal distribution code or G/L account is setup in Bank Services, Options.

Resolution

Delete the default entry in the Bank Entry detail grid or go into Bank Setup, Options and remove the Default Distribution Code or Default G/L Account.

To delete the default entry in Bank Services:

1. Go into Bank Services, Bank Transactions, Bank Entry.
2. Highlight the default detail line and Delete.

To remove the Default Distribution Code or Default G/L Account:

1. In Bank Services, Setup, Options, Processing tab.
2. Highlight the Default Distribution Code or Default G/L Account and Delete.
