How to create a Sage 100 User Role with View-only or Read-only

Set Role permissions to restrict data entry tasks to one or more of the following permissions.

  • Create – Create new records in the task window
  • Modify – Modify existing records
  • Remove – Remove existing records
  • View – View existing records

Set permissions for a Business Framework task

  1. Open Library MasterMain menu, Role Maintenance.
  2. For Role, create a new role, or select an existing role.
  3. Select the Tasks tab, and expand the affected module.
  4. Expand Maintenance/Data Entry.
  5. Expand the specific task.
  6. Select or de-select the following check box options as desired for each task.
    • Create
    • Modify
    • Remove
    • View
  7. Click Accept.
  8. Users must exit Sage 100 and log back in to have the changes take place.
