How to Delete Sage 100 General Ledger Accounts

Resolution

Use the Delete Account utility in order to delete G/L accounts.

Note: Use caution when working with this task. Always make a backup first. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage Software Customer Support analyst.

  1. Open General Ledger, Utilities, Delete Accounts.
  2. Select the appropriate operand for accounts to be deleted.
  3. In the Value field, select the accounts to be deleted.
  4. Enter account segment information as needed.
  5. Click the Print button to print a list of accounts flagged for deletion.
  6. Click Yes at the prompt, “Proceed deleting selected accounts?”
  7. If the listing is not printed, click ‘Proceed’.
  8. Click ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ at the prompt, “Do you want to print a deletion log?”
