Fast Database Copy by TaiRox for Sage 300

TaiRox’s Fast Database Copy quickly copies one or more Sage 300 databases between database servers without going through DBDUMP and DBLOAD procedures.

You can run Fast Database Copy interactively on one or more Sage 300 databases, or you can run it as a Windows Scheduled task, letting you back up databases nightly or transfer them to different database servers for data extraction, reporting, or update testing.

The program stores all settings in an XML file that can be edited with the program’s user interface. You can create one or more XML settings files for jobs that you run manually or automatically as Windows scheduled tasks. The XML settings file is passed in as a command line parameter for scheduled tasks.

All authentication information for accessing Sage 300 databases is encrypted in the XML file – in this case, you can see the login information for two separate database servers.

Note that Fast Database Copy copies data from a source Sage 300 database to a valid target Sage 300 database. You must create the target databases and run Sage 300 Database Setup on them before running Fast Database Copy.
