"Error 200 SY_ReportCommon.pvc" when printing or previewing Crystal reports

Cause

Crystal Report DLLs and/or registry keys are missing from the workstation

Resolution

For Sage 100 2024 and higher

Follow the resolution below if all the following conditions exist

  • Specific workstations display the error “200 program SY_ReportCommon.pvc line 674”
  • Error presents for every report/form
  • You’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Sage 100 workstation
  1. In the Windows search, type Control Panel, then press Enter.
  2. Select Programs and Features.
  3. Uninstall Crystal Reports Runtime components (both 32-bit and 64-bit).
  4. Browse to the C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects).
  5.  Delete the workstation’s Crystal Reports Folder.
  6. You can either:
    • Uninstall the Workstation Setup, then browse to …\MAS90\Wksetup folder. Right-click Autorun.exe and select Run as Administrator 
    • Browse to …\MAS90\wksetup\Prerequisites\CrystalRuntime and manually reinstall the Crystal Reports Runtime prerequisites

For Sage 100 ERP, 2023

Error: “200 sy_reportcommon.pvc 705” if the necessary prerequisites are missing:

  • SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework” 32-bit
  • .NET Framework 64-bit
  • Install both to convert Sage 100 32-bit to 64-bit or vice versa
  • If one of the above is missing, this will cause the error
  • Conflicts with other SAP Crystal Reports as noted elsewhere

NOTE: Deleting the Crystal Reports folder causes problems for other programs using different Crystal Reports versions.  

If the above doesn’t resolve

  1. In the Windows search, type Control Panel, then press Enter.
  2. Select Programs and Features.
  3. Uninstall any versions of Crystal Reports and Crystal Reports Runtime Engine.
  4. Browse to \MAS90\wksetup\Prerequisites\CrystalRuntime.
  5. Manually install both 64-bit and 32-bit Crystal Runtime.
  6. Uninstall the Workstation Setup.
  7. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the “…\MAS90\Wksetup” folder.
  8. Reinstall the Workstation Setup by right-clicking the Autorun.exe and select Run as Administrator.
    • This option installs the required prerequisites in most environments

For Prior Versions of Sage 100

  1. In the Windows search, type Control Panel, then press Enter.
  2. Select Programs and Features.
  3. Uninstall the Workstation Setup.
  4. Uninstall any remaining versions of Crystal Reports and Crystal Reports Runtime Engine.
  5. Reboot the workstation.
  6. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the “…\MAS90\Wksetup” folder.
  7. Reinstall the Workstation Setup by right-clicking the Autorun.exe and select Run as Administrator.
  8. If the issue continues, manually install the Crystal Runtime located in this folder: ..\MAS90\wksetup\Prerequisites\CrystalRuntime (32-bit if using Sage 100 32-bit).
