Error: “The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140.dll was not found.”

Description

When launching Sage 300 returns error “The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.”

Cause

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable is missing from the workstation. Since release Sage 300 2018, program uses Microsoft Visual C++ version 2015, 2017 and 2019 (x86 redistributable) release.

Resolution

Prior to installation of Sage 300, ensure Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable version 2015 and 2017 x86 are installed.
