How to setup Employer Provided Health Care to print Code DD in Box 12 on the W2

Resolution

Two earning and deduction codes are required. The setup should be as follows:
Create a Benefit code in Payroll Setup, Earnings and Deductions.

  1.  Select the W2 Reporting option Employer Provided Health Care in the Employer tab
  2.  Select the appropriate options for all other tabs and save the code

Create a Deduction code in Payroll Setup, Earnings and Deductions.

  1.  Select the W2 Reporting option Employer Provided Health Care in the Employee tab
  2. Select the appropriate options for all other tabs and save the code

Add both codes to the appropriate employee(s)

  1. Click on Payroll Employees, Employees, Pay tab
  2.  Press Insert to add a new line and select the Benefit code
  3.  Press Insert to add a new line and select the Deduction code
