How to export Visual Integrator Import jobs with Job Export in Sage 100

Cause

Use Job Export to output the definition information for one or more jobs to a specified file.

The definition information can then be imported into another system using Job Import.

This option is useful when import and export jobs are defined on a separate system from that used to execute the jobs.

Resolution

The steps to use Job Export to output the definition information for one or more VI jobs to a specified file are:

  1. Open Visual Integrator, Main, Job Export
  2. Click the File Listing (folder) button to select the drive and directory where the export job(s) will be saved
  3. Enter a File Name for the Export File that will store the job export information
  4. From the Available Jobs list select the job or jobs to be exported
  5. All Visual Integrator jobs defined on the system appear in this list box
  6. If all jobs are to be exported, select every job in the Available Jobs list by clicking Select All
  7. Click Accept
