How to Add or Edit a Tax Authority on Sage 300

Steps:

  1. Open Common Services > Tax Services > Tax Authorities.
  2. In the Tax Authority field, enter a code, up to 12 alpha-numeric characters. (To edit a current tax authority, use the Finder to select an existing code.)
  3. Enter a description for the new authority.
  4. Specify details on the Profile tab:
    1. Select a tax reporting currency.
    2. Enter an amount in the Maximum Tax Allowable field.
    3. Enter an amount in the No Tax Charged Below field.
    4. Select a tax base.
    5. Select a report level.
    6. Select the Allow Tax in Price option, if you need it.
  5. On the Accounts tab, use the Finders to choose accounts.
  6. Click Add (to save a new authority) or Save (to save changes to an existing authority).
