How to file assign fields from a User Defined Table (UDT) when importing with Visual Integrator

Resolution

Once a UDT has been created and populated, the next step is to create a Linking UDF into the Table being imported into

Create Linking UDF

  1. Open Custom Office, Main, User-Defined Field and Table Maintenance and select table being imported into that will store UDF
  2. Click Add and enter name of UDF, select Manual Entry and Click OK
  3. The UDF Length must be the same length as the Key Length of UDT
  4. Open Validation Tab and Select User-Defined Table option and select the UDT to be used and click OK
  5. Click OK to save changes and close User-Defined Field and Table Maintenance
