PrintReport: Error on running InstalledAddinAndXLStart in macro
Summary
When launching any Financial Reporter module (Statement Designer or Print Financial Statements), an error in excel may appear:
“Compile error in hidden module: Module1. This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, platform or architecture of this application”
or
“PrintReport: Error on running InstalledAddinAndXLStart in macro”
Cause
The Financial Reporter add in is only compatible with 32bit versions of Excel. If a 64bit version of Excel is installed it must be replaced with a 32bit version for the Financial Reporter to function.
Resolution
This error may appear if using 64bit version of Excel to run Financial Reporter functions. Please ensure that a compatible 32 bit version of Excel is installed.
To check which version of Excel is installed:
Open Excel, select the File tab, then Help; in newer versions of Excel go to File, and then Account.
Examine the version number under About Microsoft Excel
The program will display either (64-bit) or (32-bit) after the version number.
