You are not Authorized to Modify the Price in Sage 100
Summary

Cause
The user editing the Unit Price does not have the specific Role permission “Allow Price Override in S/O Data Entries” enabled to change the Unit Price.
Resolution
The message “You are not authorized to modify the price. Do you want to override?” includes the option to select either Yes or No in response to the override question.
- Select No to choose not to override. The Unit Price is not changed.
- Select Yes to display a Security Override screen
- Enter the Override User Logon and Password
- Note: The Sage 100 ERP user logon to enter can be one for an actual user with the proper role permission to allow override, or can be one that was created solely for the purpose of allowing for an override (i.e. it’s an override login not used by anyone.
- Click OK
- Notice the Unit Price is now changed for the line item in Sales Order Entry or S/O Invoice Data Entry.
- Enter the Override User Logon and Password
The specific Role permission “Allow Price Override in S/O Data Entries” is set in Role Maintenance:
- Open Library Master, Main menu, Role Maintenance
- Select a Role assigned to the User Logon of the persons for whom permission should be granted.
- Note: All User Logons assigned that Role will have access.
- Click the Module Options tab
- Under the Sage 100 ERP header, open or expand the Sales Order header
- Select or check the “Allow Price Override in S/O Data Entries” check box setting to enable it. (Conversely, you can de-select or uncheck the option to disable it.)
- Click Accept
