Sage CRM: Can’t Send Out Email in Sage CRM


User can’t send out emails in Sage CRM to external email address. Internal emails are able to be delivered within the Exchange server organization.


This solution requires advanced knowledge of your computer’s operating system. Contact your system administrator for assistance. Modifying your Windows Registry incorrectly can severely affect system operations. Sage is not responsible for operation issues caused by incorrectly modifying your Windows Registry. Always create a backup of your data before proceeding with advanced solutions.

  1. Login to CRM, go to Administration, E-mail and Documents, E-mail Configuration
  2. Change Send mail using from Internal SMTP to CDONTS, Save the changes.
  3. Stop the SMTP services from Start, Administrative tools, Services, delete all emails in Badmail and Queue folder folder under C:\inetpub\mailroot\
  4. Start SMTP services to resolve this issue.
