How to View Project in Zoho Projects as a Client User

Whether you’re a public or private company, clients and external users want to see honesty, transparency, and results. A great way to show that a project is going well is to create client users in Zoho Project, and share your project status with clients.

In this tutorial, we’ll go over the steps to create client users in Zoho Projects. Share your project status with clients, auditors, stockholders, or anyone who may have an interest in your project status!

  1. If you haven’t done so, ask your vendor to grant you access to Zoho Projects as a client user.
  2. Once the vendor grants you access, follow the instructions in your email to set up a client account in Zoho Projects.
  3. Important Note: When completing the sing-up process, be sure to enter any RECAPTCHA tests exactly as they appear. RECAPTCHA tests are case-sensitive.
  4. Log into Zoho Projects
  5.  Your first time logging in, you will be greeted with a tutorial on how to use Zoho Projects. We highly recommend that you follow the tutorial to get the most out of your experience with Zoho Projects.
  6. Your home page on Zoho Projects will show you an overview of your projects
  7. You can view a list of all the projects shared with you by clicking on “Projects” in the left sidebar
  8. If you are unable to see any tasks, please contact the vendor company and ask them:
    1. Are there any tasks inside the project?
      1. It’s possible that the project is simply currently empty and, therefore, has no tasks
    2. Have you made the Task List an “External” Task List?
      1. The task list must be flagged as “External”, not “Internal.”
    3. Have you granted me read (a.k.a. view) access to the project?
