How to promote a company on Sage 300 CRM

Steps:

  1. Select the company you want to promote.  The Company Summary screen appears.
  2. Click the Promote to Sage 300 tab.
  3. In the Sage 300 Customer Number / Sage 300 Vendor Number field, specify a customer or vendor number that does not exist in Sage 300.
  4. Click Promote to Customer or Promote to Vendor.  Depending on which button you clicked, either the Sage 300 AR Customers screen or AP Vendors screen appears.
  5. Enter information for the new Sage 300 company. At minimum, you must enter a Group Code and a Tax Group.
  6. Click Save.  The company is promoted, and company details are available in both Sage CRM and Sage 300.  Company type is set to Customer or Vendor, and the Customer
    Number, Credit Limit, Group Code, Tax Group, and Terms Code fields are added to the screen. The Customer Name, Type, Website, Customer Number, and Credit Limit fields are read-only. Status can be Active or Closed. To change customer / vendor information, use the relevant Sage 300 screen (AR Customers or AP Vendors).  The customer number of any opportunity-linked Order Entry quotes, orders, shipments, and invoices assigned to the company is updated to reflect the new customer number.
