How to Adjust a Document During Receipt Entry in Accounts Receivable for Sage 300
Before You Start
On the A/R Options screen, select the Allow Adjustments in Receipt Batches option.
To adjust a document during receipt entry:
- Open Accounts Receivable > A/R Transactions > Receipt Entry.
- Create a new entry, or select one for editing.
- Click Add or Save.
- Double-click in the Apply column (changing the entry to Yes) for the document to which you are applying the receipt, and then:
- Double-click in the Applied Amount column, and then type the amount to apply to the document. You cannot apply more than the total amount of the applied document.
- Click Adjust.
The A/R Miscellaneous Adjustment Entry screen appears.
- Enter a reference and description for the adjustment.
- In the table, for each adjustment detail:
- Enter a distribution code or general ledger account number
Tip: You can also click Select Detail to select a particular detail from the document you are adjusting. (This button is available if the document is job-related.) - Double-click in the Debit or Credit column (depending on the adjustment), and then type the adjustment amount for the detail.
- Enter a distribution code or general ledger account number
- When finished, click Close to return to the A/R Receipt Entry screen.
- Click Save.
