How to Add Your Own Account Groups in Sage 300 General Ledger


  1. Open General Ledger > G/L Setup > Account Groups.
  2. In the Account Group field, enter up to 12 characters to define the account group code.  The code can consist of alphabetical or numerical characters, or a combination of both.  The standard account groups are numbered 01 to 26. You can continue the sequence, or
    create a different set of codes.
  3. In the Description field, type a description for the new group.
  4. In the Group Category field, select the category to use to classify this group of accounts in data snapshots.
  5. Click Add.
