How to add inventory items using the Items Wizard on Sage 300 Inventory Control
Steps:
- Open Inventory Control > I/C Items and Price Lists > Items Wizard.
- Click Next to move to the first item information page.
- Beside the Item Number field, click the New button, and then enter a code for the item that you are adding. You can enter the number directly, or click the Zoom button to use the Construct Item Number screen.
- Tip: To make sure that the item number matches the structure code you plan to use to format the item number, use the Construct Item Number screen.
- Continue filling in the fields on the first page of the Items Wizard.

- When you have finished filling in the fields on a page, click Next to move to the next page. If you have to leave the wizard while adding an item, click Done or Cancel. If you click Cancel, the Wizard asks you whether to save your entries. The next time you start the Items Wizard, you can continue by entering the same Item Number, and then clicking Next until you reach the point where you saved your work.
- Note: The Done button appears on the 4th wizard page, unless you use Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking.
- After you finish entering the required information for the item record, click Done or Finish. The Finish button appears after you complete the last wizard page for the item.
- Tip: If you just want to add basic item information, you can click Done to add the inventory item. You can add more item information later by selecting the item number in the Items Wizard, or by using the other screens in the Items And Price Lists folder.
