Sage 100 Error: "xx_xxxxxxxx_ui" when selecting any task


Error: “XX_Xxxxxxxx_Ui” when selecting any task in Sage 100

A program name (and nothing else) appears as the error

Example: “SO_SalesOrder_Ui” dialog box opens after selecting Sales Order Entry


  • Check to see if the program file is missing
  • Check to see if a module folder (such as “AR” or “SO”) is missing or somehow copied into another folder
  • Check to see if there is a folder that should not exist inside a module folder
  • Uninstall, and then reinstall the Workstation Setup client install on the affected machine (assuming other workstations are fine)
  • Check for possible third-party enhancements. This error has been seen in several instances to be caused by third-party programs, or after uninstalling third-party programs. Contact your channel partner or the third-party developer
  • Rename MAS_SYSTEM/SY_Enhancement.M4T and SY_ClassEnhancement.M4T, and temporarily replace them with blank copies. SY_ClassEnhancement.M4T contains alternate UI assignments, so the Primary UI Object (Like SO_SalesOrder_UI.pvc) might point to an alternate one (like SO519_SalesOrder_UI.pvc). If the task works after replacing these files, the issue is related to the Enhancement(s) referenced therein.
