Error: "Call to pcsStart failed" in Sage 300

Description

While working, opening a function or opening a screen on Sage 300, the following error occurs:
“Call to pcsStart failed”

Cause

Possible corruption in the RESTART.ism file.

Resolution

Rename the RESTART.ism file located in the [Sage Shared Data]\SITE folder.
Even if there are no entries Restart Maintenance, the RESTART.ism may be corrupted.

To verify the location of the SITE folder,

1. Start Sage 300. You don’t need to open a company database.
2. Go to Help, System Information.
3. The SITE folder is in the Shared Data Directory field.
