Resolution

The system profile determines access to the Sage Fixed Assets program and general utilities.

The company profile determines access to a specific company and the users access to the tools and utilities of that company.

To create a company profile, the company to which the profile will apply must be open and is applicable only to that company.

NOTE: Company profiles are only in effect if company security has been enabled; go to File, Password Security, Supervisor and select the company in the Name drop down, makesure that Company Security Enabled is checked. If this option is not checked all users will have full access to the company regardless of the profiles that are assigned. When company security is enabled for a company, only users with a company profile assigned will see the company listed in File, Open Company.

The system does not have the ability to set security at the database level, only at the system and company levels.
