Sage 100 – Unable to print <report name>.rpt. A generic error occurred in GDI+ when printing from Sage 100 to Paperless Office PDF


Windows Security Permissions

Hardware Issues (bad hard drive, hard disk space, etc.)



If this error occurs only with printing to Paperless Office PDF:

  1. Make sure the Sage 100 PDF Converter (formerly Sage PDF Converter) is configured properly:
    1. From the Windows Desktop, click Start, Devices and Printers
    2. Right-click the Sage 100 PDF Converter printer (formerly Sage PDF Converter)
    3. Select Printer Properties
    4. Access the Ports tab
      • Verify the default port is a Local Port: Sage
        • Note: If not, create it
    5. Access the Security tab
      1. Verify Everyone has the following options selected:
        • Print
        • Manage this printer
        • Manage documents
  2. Make sure the UNC path for the PDF storage location in Paperless Office, Setup menu, * Maintenance has full permissions for all users
  3. Check hard disk space for the location (where Paperless Office documents are saved)
